Aus der Reihe "Mark Brandis"

Geschaffen von Nikolai von Michalewsky wurde „Mark Brandis“ zu einem Synonym für deutsche Science Fiction, die mit anspruchsvollen Themen den Buchkatalog jeder Leihbücherei bereicherte. Kaum eine andere Weltraum-SF-Serie des deutschen Buchmarkts der siebziger und achtziger Jahre wird mit derart liebevoller Erinnerung betrachtet wie „Mark Brandis“.
Die Bücher sind legendär, damals noch beim renommierten Herder-Verlag. Inzwischen wird für diese bei Internet-Auktionen horrende Summen geboten. Beim Wurdack-Verlag ist eine Neuauflage momentan zu haben.
Auch im Hörspielbereich hat das Studio Interplanar mit den Mark-Brandis-Hörspielen die Messlatte für Produktionen aus dem SF-Bereich hoch gelegt. Immer wieder schafften sie es, den hohen Standard zu halten oder gar noch auszubauen.
Mit „AKTENZEICHEN ILLEGAL“ die fünfzehnte Hörspielfolge am Start. Ob auch hier der Standard wieder erreicht wurde? Oder ob erstmals ein Abschwung der Serie erkennbar wird?

Inhalt:
„2128: Grischa Romen hat sich verliebt in die chinesische Astrophysikerin Ko Ai, die im Rahmen eines internationalen Projekts auf der HERMES gearbeitet hat. Seine Gefühle werden erwidert, doch einer gemeinsamen Zukunft steht ihre republikanische Herkunft im Weg. Als bekannt wird, dass sie eine »illegale Geburt« ist, der bei Rückkehr in ihre Heimat die Exekution droht, wendet sich Romen an seinen Commander und Freund Mark Brandis, der bald darauf Kopf und Kragen riskiert, um den beiden zu helfen. Erst als es zu spät ist, erkennt Brandis, wie skrupellos die Bürokratien der Staaten ihre Ziele verfolgen ...“
Mit Hilfe eines Journalisten möchte Mark Brandis die Geschichte von Ko Ai verbreiten und auf diese Weise versuchen, ihre Auslieferung zu verhindern. Doch gleichzeitig arbeitet die eigene Regierung gegen Mark Brandis. Die Zeichen für eine Verständigung stehen denkbar schlecht...!

Kritik:
Die Story wird zum Teil im Rückblick erzählt, denn Mark Brandis wird von der eigenen Behörde künstlich in eine Art Traumzustand versetzt, in dem er willenlos die Geheimnisse über den Aufenthaltsort der flüchtigen Ko Ai und Grischa Romen verrät.
Diese Sequenz ist eine gelungene Variante zu den bisherigen Straight-Forward-Drehbüchern. Was aber weniger gut funktioniert, ist die Geschichte an sich. Höchstgradig mit politischer Problematik aufgeladen, entbehrt sie aber ansonsten zumeist dem für Mark-Brandis-Hörspiele typischen Action-Anteil, der hier auf ein Minimum heruntergefahren wurde.
Auf diese Weise klingt „AKTENZEICHEN ILLEGAL“ über weite Teile wie ein Traktat über politische Zustände als ein SF-Hörspiel. Es ist durchaus legitim, derartige politische Problemstellungen in ein SF-Hörspiel einzubauen, aber der Anteil an Lehrhaftigkeit sollte nicht vordergründig stehen, sonst wirkt das Hörspiel schnell wie mit dem erhobenen pädagogischen Zeigefinger ausgeführt.
Bei „AKTENZEICHEN ILLEGAL“ ist dies leider der Fall und schnell ermüdet die Konzentration des Zuhörers ob der Dialoglastigkeit und Meta-Ebenen-Konstruktion.
Die Stimmen sind durchwegs auf hohem Qualitätsniveau und ein besonderes Merkmal der Serie – das Sounddesign – kann diesmal aufgrund der Dialoglastigkeit und geringen Action-Anteile weniger punkten.
Ansonsten ist die Produktion von „Interplanar“ durchwegs handwerklich sauber erstellt.

Fazit:
„AKTENZEICHEN ILLEGAL“ ist ein eher mittelprächtiger Teil der Hörspiel-Reihe. Die gewohnt hohe Qualität hinsichtlich Sprecher und Produktion konnte zwar gehalten werden, aber die Story ist nur mäßig spannend und das Thema wurde somit nur halbwegs gelungen umgesetzt.
Als Mark-Brandis-Fan wünscht man sich hier wieder mehr Spannung durch Action-Anteile, wobei der intelektuelle Anspruch nicht verloren gehen darf. Tiefgang, aber mit Höranreiz – das ist es, was man sich nun für die nächsten Teile wieder wünscht.
Somit ist „AKTENZEICHEN ILLEGAL“ bislang die schwächste Folge, was dennoch gemessen an den hohen Leistungen der anderen Folgen immer noch recht ordentlich ist.
